4 wks (2 month old): 5 vaccines

On our pedia visit today Brie was given a total of 5 vaccines:
  1. polio
  2. DTaP
  3. Pneumococcal Conjugate
  4. Hib
  5. Rotavirus

The first four were shots, the last one was oral. 30 minutes before giving the shots, Brie was given 2.4mL of Tylenol (Infant). We had to buy our own bottle afterwards because we're supposed to give her Tylenol if she's fussy or if she gets a fever.

Toddler diet: breakfast sample

When my toddler's appetite spikes, I make sure I make the most out of it. Here is one of those breakfasts that Brie enjoyed and actually finished. It took a while - the whole morning - but hey, I'm not complaining! Brie usually sits down for breakfasts, gets full, then starts play time. An hour or so after, I make sure that same breakfast plate is within reach and she either nibbles while she plays or I sneak in a bite for her every now and then. Not pictured: a cup of orange juice, a cup of milk (with Nesquick), and a cup of water. I always make drinks readily available throughout the day because we are still breastfeeding and weaning very, veeerryy sloooowwllyyyyyyyy

DIY Felt Dress Up Dolls Series: Cinderella

Cinderella has a very special place in Brie's heart. It probably has a lot to do with her Costco pull-up diapers; the night-time pull-ups are Disney themed with two patterns: Cinderella or Belle (still with Cinderella in the background). This is what Cinderella looks like when assembled. This was a fun dress. There is just so much going on. I glued the shoulder puffs onto the torso, then glued the gown puff on the skirt. The gloves were a nice touch don't you think? I know I'm still missing the headband. I still haven't decided whether to use felt or to embroider it. It can wait and I promise to give an update if I ever improve on it.
