Reconstruct old baby onesie (first attempt)

Final product

Step 1: Get old onesie and pair of scissors.

I already made a mistake on Step 1 when I chose a onesie with fabric that stretched too much.

Step 2: Cut off the bottom part of the onesie if you want it to turn into a tee. I did that because this onese is now to small for Brie.

Step 3: Cut lines across the back of the onesie like shown above.

Step 4: Stretch the "strips" of cloth that you cut.

Step 5: Loop!
Loop the first strip below the second strip. Then loop the second strip below the third... Until you're all done.

Step 6: Cut the last strip in the middle.

Step 7: Use the cut/last strip to knot the end of the loop.

This is also a good time to fix the loops so they look better.

Step 8: Cut the sleeves.

Step 9: Cut off 2 strips from discarded parts of the onesie.

Step 10: Use a strip from Step 9 to tie the sleeves.

This is part of Step 10.

This is also part of Step 10.

DIY Felt Dress Up Dolls Series: Cinderella

Cinderella has a very special place in Brie's heart. It probably has a lot to do with her Costco pull-up diapers; the night-time pull-ups are Disney themed with two patterns: Cinderella or Belle (still with Cinderella in the background). This is what Cinderella looks like when assembled. This was a fun dress. There is just so much going on. I glued the shoulder puffs onto the torso, then glued the gown puff on the skirt. The gloves were a nice touch don't you think? I know I'm still missing the headband. I still haven't decided whether to use felt or to embroider it. It can wait and I promise to give an update if I ever improve on it. Toddler diet: breakfast sample

When my toddler's appetite spikes, I make sure I make the most out of it. Here is one of those breakfasts that Brie enjoyed and actually finished. It took a while - the whole morning - but hey, I'm not complaining! Brie usually sits down for breakfasts, gets full, then starts play time. An hour or so after, I make sure that same breakfast plate is within reach and she either nibbles while she plays or I sneak in a bite for her every now and then. Not pictured: a cup of orange juice, a cup of milk (with Nesquick), and a cup of water. I always make drinks readily available throughout the day because we are still breastfeeding and weaning very, veeerryy sloooowwllyyyyyyyy

DIY Felt Dress Up Dolls Series: Snow White

Brie hasn't actually seen Snow White. Can you believe that? It's on the list. She knows Snow White because of her 5-Minute Princess Stories and because of her Disney Princess Duplo Lego Set. I sewed the puff sleeves but I highly recommend gluing them on like Cinderella's puff sleeves. I just wanted to see how it would turn out sewn. This is what Snow White looks like assembled.
